The ultimate figure combining mystery and sophistication,
truly worthy of being called the Lady of the Moon!
Enjoy the quiet beauty for yourself!
Momoko, drawn by Houkiboshi-sensei,
is brought to life in 1/6 scale!

”Is it really possible to reproduce even the atmosphere within an illustration?” The ”Momoko illustration by Houkiboshi 1/6 Complete Figure [Hakoiri Musume]” responds directly to that question. Rather than just creating a 3D model of the popular character ”Momoko” drawn by the world-renowned illustrator Houkiboshi-sensei, this piece carefully captures the entire world of the artwork. The large crescent moon floating over the twilight terrace, the quietly standing fountain, and the figure of Momoko perched on its rim create a scene that feels as if time is flowing slowly, radiating a presence as an ”evocative sculpture” that transcends the framework of a mere character figure.
Hakoiri Musume Inc., who handled the sculpting and coloring, adopted full digital sculpting to faithfully reproduce the elegant lines of Houkiboshi-sensei's illustration. From the movement of each lock of hair to the soft expression of the fingertips and the angle of the hand gently holding the lily of the valley, everything is meticulously calculated to exist in 3D. The sculpting of the fountain is also crafted in great detail, with a texture that evokes the silence of the water's edge, elevating the overall atmosphere. The ”delicacy” that is often lost when translating an illustration into 3D is instead emphasized in this work, with high-level sculpting techniques evident throughout.
Indispensable in discussing this figure is the expression of the pure white dress utilizing clear materials. The transparency achieved by combining PVC, ABS, and PC materials changes its impression depending on how light hits it or the angle from which it is viewed, creating the illusion of real fabric swaying in the moonlight. With overlapping sheer layers, the finish feels light despite being a 3D object, boasting a level of perfection that makes one want to call it a ”3D gem.” Coupled with the scene of the quietly shining crescent moon, the sparkle of the dress weaves a fantastical tale.
With a 1/6 scale, a total height of approximately 22cm for the figure itself, and a base width of approximately 20cm, it has an imposing size that commands attention as the centerpiece of a space the moment it is displayed. The exquisite balance—not too large and not too small—not only allows for full enjoyment of the detailed sculpting but also enhances satisfaction as a display piece. While maintaining a toned overall impression, the form is finished without losing softness or elegance, masterfully balancing sculptural beauty with presence.
What makes this work special is that it is not just a posed figure, but something that evokes a story. The terrace where the crescent moon shines quietly, the figure sitting on the edge of the fountain, and the faint light added by the lily of the valley in her hand. All of these harmonize to strongly imprint the image of the ”Lady of the Moon.” The serene beauty, as if blessed by the night sky, stimulates the viewer's imagination and will bring new discoveries every time it is displayed.
As it is provided as a pre-painted complete figure, another charm is being able to enjoy the perfected world-view the moment it is taken out of the box. Finished with consistently high quality from sculpting to coloring, it offers satisfaction as a collection piece and elegantly adorns a space as interior decor. The finish, which makes one want to appreciate it as an art piece beyond the boundaries of a figure, is sure to be a special addition for those who love Houkiboshi-sensei's world-view.
